Introduction:

The purpose of the programs in this cluster is to prepare students for employment or advanced training in a variety of pipe occupations. The content includes but is not limited to reading construction documents, understanding building codes in the pipe trades, plumbing pipe-cutting-and-joining skills and plumbing layout and installation.

Employment of plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters is projected to grow 16% from 2016 to 2026.

Salary:

The average wage for a Plumber Helper in Florida is $15.04 hourly or $31,290 annually.

Completion Requirements:

The entire program is 1080 hours. Certain Adult Education Centers do not offer all components of the program. Full completion of the program may be completed at a Technical College. Students can earn a certificate at the completion of the following Occupational Completion Points (OCPs):
