    Whether you decide to learn a technical skill or get prepared to enter the workforce, our career technical training programs can prepare you for the job of your choice. Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ Adult Education Division with the guidance and support of our industry partners provides career training opportunities that lead to high-wages and career growth. The majority of these training programs are offered in English. With more than 75 career preparation programs offered at our 7 technical colleges and 14 adult education centers, you can begin your career in a year in any of the following areas: Commercial Art, Culinary Art, Construction, Health Occupations, Information Technology, Licensed Childcare, Personal Services, Manufacturing, and Transportation.

    TECHNICAL COLLEGE PROGRAMS

    Career Technical Education Programs offered at Miami-Dade County Public Schools Technical Colleges are designed to prepare individuals, ages 16 or older and not enrolled in high school, to earn a certificate or license that is aligned with a job in the workforce. These programs are nationally accredited. Tuition in the form of scholarships, Federal Financial aid and Veterans’ Educational Benefits are available to those who qualify, allowing students to graduate debt free.

    ADULT EDUCATION CENTER PROGRAMS

    The objective of our adult education programs, offered at various high schools in Miami-Dade County, is for individuals to be able to afford training for a certificate or license right in their community and enter a career. These programs are available in the evenings and may take one year or less to complete. They are specifically designed to provide hands-on instruction for persons to become skilled in their field of choice.
