This program is included in the Rapid Credentialing Grant which was designed in response to COVID-19.

Introduction:

The Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) program offers extensive hands-on training with the most modern trucks on the road today. Employability and communication skills are an integral part of the program. Good work habits, punctuality, attendance, attitude, and job orientation are stressed throughout training. The purpose of this program is to prepare students for a Class “A” Commercial Driver License

Employment Outlook:

Employment of heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers is projected to grow 6% from 2020 to 2030.

Salary:

The average wage for this career in Florida is $20.74 hourly or $43,140 annually.

Completion Requirements:

The entire program is 320 hours. Students can earn a certificate at the completion of the following Occupational Completion Points (OCPs):
